Housewives:
I am a Real Housewives watcher. I watch the ladies of the
OC and the ladies of NYC but I couldn't get into the Atlanta group. I saw an advertisement the other day for the Real Housewives of New Jersey and immediately rolled my eyes and swore to myself that I wouldn't be watching that one. Well the other night after the NYC show, they had a sneak preview of the New Jersey crew. The small bit of the preview that I watched was like a train wreck - I couldn't stop watching. And I don't know what the guy's name is but he is the husband that owns a construction company - he can be thanked for getting me hooked on this show before it even premiers. He said one line that will have me glued to the TV every Tuesday night starting May 12
th. What did he say, you ask?
Fuhgetaboutit. He had me at
fuhgetaboutit......
Re-Fi:
So I told my sister-in-law, Leah, about the rates that Chad and I had on our mortgage and she politely told us they sucked. I agreed thereby starting the refinancing process. We got things going and she needed to know how much my annual insurance payment was. Once I told her what that was she politely told me that sucked. I agreed and I now have a new insurance agent. So things are moving along and then a red flag gets thrown up. Apparently something wasn't filed correctly when we first closed on the house so Leah tells me I have to go dig out my original blah blah blah. What if I don't have my original blah blah blah? Then we have to file a blah and that will take blah and will cost blah and we won't get to close. Ok then. So I went to "the box" where anything and everything that has to do with the house is kept and found the original blah, blah, blah and handed it over. Problem solved. NOT SO FAST! Monday I get an email from Leah that actually had a phone call attached to it. The be-yotch at the HOA management company is refusing to hand over a 60 day letter to the lender. Without this letter we can't close. Apparently several people that Leah works with had words with the lady at the management company and she, in not so many words, told everyone she talked to to suck it - no letter for you. So Tuesday morning I got involved and by the time I was finished "talking" to this lady, I'm pretty sure she was regretting not handing over the letter the day before. After several minutes of me "talking" to this lady, she told me she would have to call me back because she needed to check around to see what she could do for me. I told her that was fine but when she called me back if she wasn't telling me that my problem was solved then the next phone call she received was going to be from my attorney. (I don't have an attorney). She solved the problem. Why she couldn't do that the day before I don't know but we closed on Wednesday. Woo-hoo!! Saving money rocks!!! Thank you so much to Leah, the rock star, for taking care of this for us.
The Block:
Back in October, some very special 'kids' came to see me.
If you can't tell who it is, take a look at the picture below. Look at the shirts and look at the sign above our heads. (And yes I was pregnant in that picture. One of the two concerts Carly got to go to
whilest in the womb).
If you still can't tell who it is, it's the New Kids on the Block - known now as
NKOTB. And yes they did come to just see me but I was nice enough to let thousands of other screaming ladies see the show too and I even let several of them have better seats than me. Turns out they are coming back to see me in July. Make fun all you want but they put on a kick ass show last time and I'm sure they will please once more. They had a great combination of old hits and new hits. And thanks to my mom's
AmEx (yes, 34 years old and still using my mommy's credit card) we got to take advantage of the
pre-sale. We got some pretty good seats and we now just have to sit and wait until July 18
th. Hopefully it will be here before we know it.
What was the other concert did Carly enjoy whilest in the womb you ask? Well that would be George Michael.
